Roblox Gift Card

A Roblox gift card loads Roblox Credit — a dollar balance on the account — which you then turn into Robux, the in-game currency. Some specially marked cards load Robux directly instead. Either way, the code goes in at roblox.com/redeem while signed in, and the result belongs to that one account.

First, check which kind of card it is

How to redeem a Roblox gift card

1. On a computer or a phone's web browser, go to roblox.com/redeem.
2. Log in to the account that should get the value (check the username).
3. Enter the PIN from the card or email and click Redeem.
4. A confirmation message appears once the Credit or item is added.

Samsung Galaxy users are the exception: the Roblox app on Samsung devices has a Redeem tile on the More page. Everyone else must use a browser. You can redeem as many cards as you like, one at a time.

Turning Credit into Robux

Back on roblox.com/redeem, select Get Robux. Roblox pre-selects the largest package your Credit covers; pick another on the Buy Robux page if you prefer, then click Buy. A remainder too small for a package can be turned into Robux with Convert Credit to Robux. Credit can't be split with a card — a purchase is paid fully from Credit or fully another way.

Credit only shows and spends in a web browser, not inside Roblox apps. To see what's left, follow our Roblox gift card balance guide.

What the Credit buys — and one thing that changed

Roblox's terms say Credit may be redeemed only for Robux and other Roblox services it designates. Robux are what players then spend across Roblox, from avatar items to purchases inside experiences. Redeeming a card may also come with a free virtual item, which the terms limit to one of each per account per month.

Roblox Premium is no longer for sale. Roblox's Premium page says the membership stopped being available for purchase on April 30, 2026; existing subscribers keep it, but can't resubscribe after cancelling. Older advice about using a gift card for Premium no longer applies to new buyers.

For parents: limits that do and don't apply

With a Roblox account that has parent privileges linked to your child's, go to Settings → Parental controls → Settings you manage → Spending restrictions → Monthly spending limit, enter an amount and click Update. Know the edges:

Roblox's US terms also say you must be 18 or older to redeem cards, or have a parent or guardian's consent — one more reason to redeem the card together.

Free Robux scams

“Any offer of free Robux, subscriptions, or valuable items is a scam.”

— Roblox Support

Roblox explains that these offers aim to get a password, personal details or a click on a bad link, and that following them can itself break the rules and get an account deleted. Teach kids three rules from Roblox's own list: never enter a password anywhere except the Roblox login page, never share it, and don't click suspicious off-site links.

If a card won't redeem

Roblox support asks for: usernames, purchase date and amount, the shop and city, country of residence, the card PIN and serial number, a photo of the receipt, photos of the front and back of the card (or the full e-gift card), and a screenshot of any error. Have them ready before you write in. Roblox doesn't refund gift cards.
