Authorize the connection

Click "Connect" on your HRIS in the Rewordin dashboard. You'll be redirected to your HRIS login page, grant Rewordin read-only access, and return. The whole flow takes under 60 seconds.

Map your data fields

Tell Rewordin which fields to sync: employee ID, name, email, department, manager, start date, country. We auto-detect the mapping for most HRIS โ€” you just confirm. Custom field mapping is supported for Pro plans.

Set your automation rules

Pick which events should trigger rewards and what to send. Most customers start with work anniversaries and birthdays. You can add new rules anytime without re-authenticating.

Does Rewordin support SCIM for user provisioning?

Yes. SCIM 2.0 is fully supported. When an employee is added, removed, or has a role change in your HRIS, Rewordin reflects the change within 60 seconds. This eliminates the security risk of orphaned accounts and ensures only active employees can receive or send recognition.

Can Rewordin automatically trigger rewards on HRIS events?

Yes. Rewordin can listen to any field in your HRIS and trigger rewards automatically. The most common automations: work anniversaries (1, 3, 5, 10+ years), birthdays, completion of probation periods, promotions, new-hire milestones (30/60/90 days), and performance review completions.

Is employee data secure during integration?

Yes. All Rewordin integrations use OAuth 2.0 for secure delegated authentication โ€” we never see or store your HRIS password. By default we request read-only access. SOC 2 Type II compliant, GDPR-compliant, and we sign a DPA with every customer. Employee data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).

Can Rewordin integrate with custom or in-house HR systems?

Yes. Rewordin has a fully documented REST API and supports webhooks for real-time events. For in-house or legacy HR systems, our engineering team can build a custom integration at no additional cost on Pro and Enterprise plans โ€” typically 5-10 business days.

How does Rewordin handle multi-country HRIS sync?

Rewordin is built for global teams. If you operate multiple regional HRIS instances (Workday for US, Personio for Germany, BambooHR for UK), Rewordin syncs from each in parallel and unifies the data into a single employee directory. Country-specific fields like cost center, legal entity, and local manager hierarchy are preserved.
